To begin the process, Dr. Eitemiller or Dr. Moody will perform an oral exam to check on your oral health and the cosmetic appearance of your teeth. You’ll also be able to discuss your smile goals and talk about insecurities like stained teeth, chipped teeth, and any other concerns you may have with the appearance of your smile.
Dr. Moody or Dr. Eitemiller will discuss the various cosmetic dentistry options that may be suitable for you, such as porcelain veneers, dental bonding, or teeth whitening, to name just a few. You’ll get more information about each treatment, expected costs, and other such details.
Once you’ve decided which treatment is right for you, you’ll schedule any necessary follow ups with the team at Horizon West Dental. Come to your appointments as scheduled and start the process of transforming your smile!
We offer both take-home and in-office teeth whitening. In-office whitening provides very fast results, so it’s a great choice for special occasions.
Take-home treatment takes a bit longer, but still offers excellent whitening results. It’s a good option if you have a busy schedule, or would prefer to treat yourself in the comfort of your own home. Get in touch with our team to explore teeth whitening in further detail.
Dental bonding is a cosmetic treatment used to reshape and improve the appearance of your teeth. It uses a special type of tooth-colored composite material which is applied directly to each tooth. Then, Dr. Moody or Dr. Eitemiller will sculpt, harden, and trim this material to improve the appearance of your tooth. Bonding can be done to restore just one tooth, but in most cases, multiple teeth are treated during each appointment at Horizon West Dental.
Porcelain veneers are designed to look and feel just like natural teeth. These thin shells of porcelain fit over your natural enamel and help cover up a wide variety of cosmetic imperfections like chipped teeth, stains, gaps in your smile, and more. They are very durable, strong, and long-lasting, but are not reversible since they require your teeth to be trimmed.
Lumineers are identical to veneers, except they use a thinner material. This means that enamel usually doesn’t have to be removed from your teeth before treatment, which simplifies the process and enables you to reverse your veneer treatment in the future, if desired.
